American Riviera Bank joined forces with Easter Team Realty in August to collect food donations for the Unity Shoppe's low-income Senior Food Program. In addition to food collected at each of its Santa Barbara County branches, the Bank donated $1,000.
"Doing good and giving back is at the core of the Easter Team’s values. As a service to our community, we are committed to our efforts in helping the Unity Shoppe fill its empty shelves," stated Gloria Easter, team lead, "We are especially grateful for our sponsors such as American Riviera Bank, Fidelity National Title, Trader Joes (De La Vina), Montecito Village Grocery, Wild Planet Tuna, Cajun Kitchen and of course, friends, family, and clients who contributed."
Unity Shoppe is a tax-exempt 501©3 dedicated to providing the necessities of life and occupational skills training to Santa Barbara’s most vulnerable populations during times of temporary crisis, while encouraging self-sufficiency and independence. All programming and services are offered at no cost to qualifying clients without regard to political affiliation, religious belief, or ethnicity.
"We are thrilled to partner with the Easter Team as they support the crucial work the Unity Shoppe is doing to provide for the needs of our community," said Laurel Sykes, Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer at American Riviera Bank.
Funds are still needed to purchase food, fresh produce, and items with a long shelf life. Those in need of help include vulnerable seniors and other homebound adults, as well as low-income families. More information can be found at unityshoppe.org.
