Douglas Barden Margerum
Mr. Margerum, a Founding Director of American Riviera Bank, chairs the Compensation Committee and is a member of the Executive Committee. Mr. Margerum is the owner of Margerum Wine Company and Barden Wines where he serves as Director of Winemaking. Additionally, he owned and operated the Wine Cask in Santa Barbara from 1981 to 2007. Mr. Margerum has consulted for numerous wineries, Chêne Bleu in France, La Encantada Vineyards and continues to consult for Paradise Springs Winery, Happy Canyon Vineyards and Lieff Ranch. Margerum has aligned himself with several local charitable organizations such as and is currently Treasurer of the Santa Barbara Vintner’s Foundation Board which primarily supports Direct Relief International as well as other local charities. As a friend and colleague of Julia Child’s during her time in Santa Barbara, in 2016 Mr. Margerum was asked to be on the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History Kitchen Cabinet, a board made up of leaders in the food and wine industry. Mr. Margerum is also on the advisory board for the Julia Child Foundation.
