The special report, published on August 23rd, noted Johnson’s stellar 16-year career in the local banking industry and his commitment to family and community. The awards dinner will be held on Monday, September 23rd at the Topa Tower Club in Oxnard from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
“I am very grateful for this immense honor, said Johnson, “I have a great family, a great workplace and I work in a great city, so I feel I have an amazing support network behind everything I do. Being recognized like this by this community that I am dedicated to, means the world to me.”
Johnson first came to Santa Barbara to attend UCSB. By the time he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies, he had fallen in love with the area and decided to stay. He initially entered the financial arena as a temporary employee for Santa Barbara Bank & Trust, but due to his work ethic and dedication he rapidly advanced to management, supporting operations and the research departments. Hitting his stride, he then transitioned to working in risk & compliance, where he grew into a lead role and Johnson is now Vice President in Risk/Compliance at American Riviera Bank.
“Tim joined the team almost 4 years ago and is a great asset to the Bank. He has proven to be a remarkable, highly engaged team member,” said Jeff DeVine, American Riviera Bank President/CEO. “This honor is well deserved and we couldn’t be happier for him. With leaders like him, American Riviera Bank’s future looks as promising as ever.”
Beyond his work and professional success, Johnson is happily married to his wife, Ana. Balancing work and family, Johnson manages to coach his kids Toby (8) and Kaia (5) in baseball and soccer. But his passion is going out to fish with them—the family tradition is ‘Seafood Sunday’, catching and cooking their bounty from the sea. Even in this regard, Johnson likes to keep it local!
